As part of our commitment to improving diversity within our organisation and the wider security sector, SNP Security has partnered with the Department of Psychology, Macquarie University to engage in a research project called, Bridging the Diversity Gap. This project will enable us to better understand our employees’ experiences within a diverse workplace, and how to best harness this diversity.
Workplaces are getting increasingly diverse in terms of age, gender, and ethnicity, and this project will be crucial in helping SNP to better understand and manage this growth, ultimately providing and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for everyone.
According to the researchers at Macquarie University, workplace diversity has a significant benefit on employee performance and retention.
We want all of our employees to work in a safe and equal environment by making them feel they have a voice that will be heard. In order to do this, we’re using anonymous surveys as the data collection method; giving our employees the opportunity to voice their honest opinions, thus empowering them.
At the conclusion of this project, Macquarie University will provide SNP Security with a summary of key findings and comprehensive recommendations on how to improve the management of our diverse culture.
SNP Security is proud to have a diverse workforce and is strongly committed to continuing to provide a safe and equal work environment for all employees, at all levels of the organisation.
