For over a decade SNP Security has been committed to providing quality security service solutions to Australia’s transport and infrastructure industry.

In order to nurture passionate and dedicated people who consistently strive to deliver the best results in safety, quality and customer service, it’s our responsibility to ensure all SNP employees are happy and healthy.

Rail R U OK Day is the result of a collaboration between R U OK and the TrackSAFE Foundation to address stigma around emotional and mental trauma within the Australian rail industry. Rail industry employees are usually the first people on the scene when incidents on the rail network occur, and such exposure may result in the manifestation of mental trauma.

Research has demonstrated that it is crucial to have a strong sense of community and trust amongst colleagues in workplaces where frontline staff experience higher exposure to trauma.

Rail R U OK Day aims to engage rail staff in conversations about their emotional and mental wellbeing by asking the simple question, “Are you OK?” The goal is to foster a safe and supportive work environment where employees not only feel comfortable addressing issues of depression and anxiety, but are also empowered to help each other.

To support Rail R U OK Day, SNP has created support packs containing information on our Employee Assistance Program and counselling services that are available for all SNP employees.

Today our senior staff are delivering the support packs across different rail sites in Sydney, NSW, personally asking employees “Are you OK?” and encouraging them to do the same to each other.

SNP provides support to mitigate risks and incidences within the Australian transport industry, and taking care of our employees’ wellbeing is one of the ways we do this.
