With diversity at the forefront of our business strategy, SNP is a proud supporter of International Women’s Day.

It is our goal to embed diversity at every level of the organisation, creating an inclusive culture to empower all of our female and male employees to have a voice that will be heard.

A core focus for SNP is gender diversity. Our commitment to driving change in the security sector is demonstrated by the launch of #ConnectedWomen – a program which supports and nurtures a cultural environment where both women and men can voice their opinions freely and celebrate each other’s achievements.

As part of the #ConnectedWomen strategy to shift the culture and mindset within the security industry, and to show our support for International Women’s Day 2016, we invited both female and male clients and employees to join us for a networking lunch with special guest speaker Julie Chai from the Diversity Council Australia.

Ms Chai offered some great insights into shifting paradigms of diversity and culture within traditionally made dominated industries, detailing the benefits of having a diverse culture and strategies for organisations to see this as a core business focus that will give a competitive edge.

With more events on the horizon for SNP that celebrate culture and diversity, we are confident this is another step in the right direction towards greater inclusiveness and advocating the change within the security sector.
