Yesterday, over 50 employees across different areas of SNP joined us at the Rydges Hotel Sydney Airport, where we proudly hosted ‘Connection Point’ – our first #ConnectedWomen networking event.

#ConnectedWomen is one of SNP’s fundamental diversity programs that supports and redefines opportunities for women within the company. The program empowers our female employees, ensuring gender equality is maintained at every level of our organisation.

The lunchtime event included inspiring presentations from a variety of female and male frontline and corporate employees who have excelled in their positions, as well as members from the senior management team. An external member from the #ConnectedWomen board, who previously worked at KPMG and now holds a senior position at Mirvac, also addressed the crowd with advice on how female employees can advance their career development in a male dominated industry.

The event was a great success by all accounts. Attendees got a chance to meet key managers who provided personal career advice and discussed the challenges women face in the security industry along with guidance on how to overcome them. Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in structured networking sessions.

SNP boasts a strong and a highly gender diversified workforce and we look forward to seeing how the #ConnectWomen program prospers in the New Year.
