Following up on the success of SNP’s first Office of Transport Security training initiative in Indonesia, two more SNP Learning and Development team members have travelled to Papua New Guinea to administer a two-day training session for local aviation security staff.

Talib Younes and Bennett Prestwidge successfully delivered the workshop to more than 60 participants from eight different companies, including G4S, and key members of Qantas’ senior security management team.

Nerem Dhillon, National Learning Programs & RTO Manager at SNP, said Younes and Prestwidge were exemplary of the high standard of training OTS expects of SNP.

“By conducting our training courses in other countries and sharing our wealth of security knowledge and skills we are helping to bridge the distance between Australia and our neighbours, with the overall aim to make flying safer for all. Our dedication to this project reinforces our reputation in aviation security,” said Dhillon.
